A surrealistic interpretation of nuclear aftermath drawn and handwritten in ballpoint pen on paper. This is an elaboration of an older composition of mine which I recently completed. The original idea behind the piece involved the consequences of the atomic bombs dropped at Hiroshima and Nagasaki during WWII. I decided to make the meaning of the imagery more universal and it could apply to any nation who has nuclear arms and can unleash it at its most devastating force at any time. It reflects my own fears of nuclear war. The surreal imagery is open to interpretation, but I do have my own definitive ideas about it. The point of view is from the nuclear arms and is meant to be unsentimental and bleak.
Beautiful, entrancing, elaborate details and strong words! So this was inspired by a nuclear end-time scenario? I'd say you drew something powerful from it!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
